You can't ever get so comfortable with Jesus that you stop giving Him access to places to work in your life.
Surely none of the men who came from Egypt, from twenty years old and above shall see the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, because they have not wholly followed Me.
Except Caleb the son of jepunneh, the Kennizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun, for they have wholly followed the Lord.
So the Lords anger was aroused against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of the Lord was gone.

The above first scripture tells us that the Israelites who came from Egypt above twenty years of age did not see the promised land because they did not wholly follow God, the second scripture tells us that only Joshua and Caleb could enter into the promised land because they wholly followed the Lord, the third scripture tells us that God made the Israelites wander in the wilderness for forty years until all the generation that had done evil in the sight of the Lord perished in the wilderness.
Many follow God only three times in their life time at the time of birth, marriage and death, many others follow God only for four days in a year New year day, Good Friday, Resurrection day(Easter) and Christmas, many others follow God only on Sunday's but they are very few who wholly follow God all the days of their lives and the successful people are those that follow God all the days of their lives, If we wholly follow God all the days of our lives then surely the goodness and mercy of God will follow us all the days of our lives here on this earth and in eternity.
The reason many of us are not successful in life is because we wholly don't follow God everyday of our lives and then we turn and blame the parents, the wife, the husband, the education, the financial condition that we are in, the recession and last of all God for our failures.The Bible very clearly states in Matthew 6-33 Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you, it never said only career, family, business or finances it says all and everything shall be added unto us. The secret to a successful life on this earth is to wholly follow God everyday in all circumstances good or bad example Abraham, he followed God wherever he went even though he lived a nomadic life he wholly followed God in famine, in abundance, when he misplaced his wife twice, in wars, when he was childless, when he made mistakes, when he was blessed with children, he wholly followed in good and bad times and so he is called the Father of faith and Christ died so that the blessings of Abraham might come upon us Galatians 3-14.
Beloved let's ask God to give us the grace to wholly follow Him all the days of our lives and see God's goodness and mercy following us all the days of our lives.
Turn to the devil and say I am wholly following God and my God will carry me into my promised land.
