Neither Egypt nor Canaan, but Heaven"*ЁЯЩЗ‍♀

*"Neither Egypt nor Canaan, but Heaven"*ЁЯЩЗ‍♀

Leviticus (18:1-5)
*The Lord said to Moses, “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘I am the Lord your God. You must not do as they do in Egypt, where you used to live, and you must not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you. Do not follow their practices. You must obey my laws and be careful to follow my decrees. I am the Lord your God. Keep my decrees and laws, for the person who obeys them will live by them.I am the Lord"*.
ЁЯНБGod is talking about the unlawful sexual practices in this whole chapter. God is giving clear instruction to His children on how to live their life where they are placed. They were in Egypt for a long period and now they are heading to Canaan. There were many wrong practices that they witnessed in Egypt and there will be many wrong practices that they are going to witness in the land of Canaan. But, God wants His children to obey His laws and follow His decrees alone. Because, He is the Lord, their God. Amen.
ЁЯНБEven today we have this dilemma in following the different practices especially when we move from one country to another. We have a tendency to cling to the culture and practices with which we are born and brought up. I think there may not be  anything wrong in acknowledging and accepting the good practices. But, this turns into a concern when we give more importance to these cultures and traditions. Isn't this happening in today's spirituality? Aren't we trying to drag the 'world' into spiritual realm today? We justify this as 'keeping the culture and traditions'!
ЁЯНБGod is clearly instructing how His children should be. We may have the influence of the culture and traditions that we were brought up. We may get influence of the culture and traditions of the country that we are going to live. But, if we are the children of God, we need to live a holy and separate life. We need to obey His laws and follow His decrees. Because, He is our Lord. Amen.
ЁЯНБHow clearly God has instructed us this! If so, where is this dilemma/confusion coming from? My dear friends, it is from the world.
ЁЯНБ
*"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will"*.(Romans 12:2)
ЁЯНБWhen we obey His laws and follow His decrees, we will live by them. Hallelujah. Then, we will be able to know His perfect will.
ЁЯНБ
*Our citizenship is in heaven*. May God help us to achieve this great privilege wherever we are placed.ЁЯЩПЁЯП╗ЁЯЩЗ‍♀

Thank God everyday for what we have!

ЁЯНБA repost from someone worth reflecting on: The beginning of 2020 has revealed enough for deep reflection: That giant Australia is not at all invincible from fire… That mighty China could be shaken by enemies that are too small to be seen… That what we view as small is a fully destructive Volcano… That what we see as a basketball star could fall into a deadly crash… Things are, indeed… never too big nor too small… never too high nor too low… never too powerful nor too faint… never too wealthy nor too broke… never too famous nor too ordinary… Whatever our condition is, … we are all equal… the rain falls on the just and the unjust... the sun rises on the evil and the good... we are all important… we are all gifts… our current status does not define us at all… what we have or possess is never a mighty protective armor… So, in life… don’t be rude… don’t be greedy… don’t be selfish… don’t be ill-mannered… don’t be crabby… don’t be wicked… don't be unemp...
